2005 MSTPA Weekly Fishing Reports
The year began with more excitement than we could have ever dreamed of! We were faced with the ice from the Yukon pushing back up into where the boat was wintered. Floating chunks of ice half the size of the Midnight Sun and thirty-three degree water made for a very long fifty-one hours for four cold, tired and hungry crew members. Consideration was given to letting her go, the danger od the conditions were so great. All turned out well, only two of the crew fell into the frigid water, and no injuries. Unfortunately the only real photos were taken after the excitement had passed. (The two clowns on the iceberg are Craig and George.)
