Just
the name itself carries a sense of greatness.
For years, Alaska has been known for its wondrous
size, its magnificent mountains, its trophy size game, and of
course its salmon. But very little has been said about its huge
northern pike. In fact Alaska's best kept secret is its large
Northern Pike. And not just 10 or 15 pound fish, but 25, 30,
and the occasional 40 pound monster! Located on a tributary
that feeds the Yukon river, Midnight Sun offers the trip of
a lifetime for those anglers interested in hooking the largest
pike of their dreams. Midnight Sun Trophy Pike Adventures offers
luxury, and comfort, while enjoying Alaska's remote wilderness
on our custom-built houseboat
(a new twist to sport fishing in Alaska). This boat is equipped
with all of the modern amenities and plush trimmings. It also
allows us to become mobile, moving with the pike as the season
changes.
The Yukon tributary you will be fishing provides the
perfect environment for growing big pike; cool, slow-moving
water; a food source of unlimited quantity; and the time to
grow old and fat! With little competition from other anglers,
these big pike are readily attainable. Being centrally located between the lower Yukon
and Kuskokwim rivers, a short float plane ride provides endless
opportunities for Alaska's mighty king salmon, the feisty chum,
the hard-hitting silver salmon as well as the Sheefish. What's a Sheefish?
Locals call this hard-hitting, fast moving, chrome marauder,
the "Tarpon of the North". Migrating in schools up
river all through the summer, these exciting fish provide fast
and furious action for the spin cast, or fly fishing enthusiast.
The largest sheefish we've caught out of
